Back to the fold with his fourth iteration for us, Australian producer Inkswel pulls out some stellar soul vibrations on ’Space Love’ featuring Chicago legend Robert Owens - of Fingers Inc. fame and much more - on vocals, plus a choice trio of remixes courtesy of Osunlade under his Yoruba Soul alias, and multi-faceted British artist, Steve Spacek.

Oozing that typical debonair grooviness and crisp 90s-minded programming laced with a strong balearic feel, ’Space Love’ welds Inkswel’s solar-powered production palette to Owens’ transcending soulfulness and suavity, complete with the participation of New-Zealand sound whiz Leonard Charles and Amsterdam-based flute player, Han Litz. The result swings the pendulum effortlessly betwixt far-reaching, synth-driven harmonics, Blaxploitation Andean flutes and luscious slap moves straight out an early EW&F slab. An invitation to search your soul and find the path towards peace, deep down.

Commixing intricate layers of dynamic FX, smudgy bass undulations and Dionysian funk chatter on a drip-tease flex, Spacek treats us to a shimmeringly busy millefeuille where every element elegantly clashes and reverberates within some sort of chaotic order. Hazy and sensual to the fullest. In the hands of Osunlade, the OG mix turns into an equally lush and obsessive roller of a tune, equipped with just the right amount of modern bass traction, space-op keyboard solo gone boss mode and exquisite coastal ambience to keep us warm until the sunny days knock back in.
